This website is a celebration of your family and mine, and the Black Family Values that have brought us thus far and will carry us on.  It is a place for your to share your story.

We invite you to upload a video telling the world about your mother and/or father. Tell the world what it means to you to be a mother or father. Grow up without a mother and/or a father – then tell the world how you made sure your child did not have to grow up without you being there for him or her.

Share your experience of being a member of or showing appreciation for the Black Family and provide countless other Black families, Mothers, Fathers & Children inspiration. Upload your video to YouTube then fill out the fields below. We will review your submission and post it on this site.

How To Make a Black Family Values Video:

Please submit only one video under seven minutes in length.

  • YouTube/Google Account
    In order to upload your video, you must have a valid YouTube account. CLICK HERE to create a YouTube account.
  • Clear sound is crucial.
    If no one can hear it, no one will watch it. Make sure to shoot in quiet environments and project.
  • Don’t backlight.
    Make sure light is on your face and not behind it — i.e. don’t sit in front of a bright window.
  • Title and tag your video.
    Use the title “Black Family Values” and include your name and location – ex: “Black Family Values: Charles in Nashville”.
    Use tags to describe your video so that other people can find it — ex: “Black Father Appreciation” or “Black Married Couple”.
  • Please don’t use our logo.
    Please don’t use our logo in your video, as it is trademarked.
